The Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion began it's life in 1933 as the Neckar-Stadion. The stadium has seen more renovations than any other World Cup Stadium. It is almost easier to list the dates no renovations were performed.
The highlight of the of the new ground is the textile roof covering made from PVC coated polyester fibre and covers the stands.
The Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadionis home to the enowned Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart and achieved Fifa World Cup standard in 2001.
